Tonight, Bailey’s hard at work studying, and I’m hard at work staying out of his way. And of course studying requires snacking. We played around with trying to make “ice cream” out of frozen bananas a few weeks ago, and let’s just say it didn’t quite work out and we ended up adding so much vanilla ice cream to it that it turned out to be ice cream with a little banana in it. But we nailed it tonight. We might never go back to regular ice cream again. It turned out like a thick milkshake, which we loved, but it would probably work with just a little less milk and it would turn out slightly thicker.
Peanut-butter banana milkshake
2 bananas, cut up and frozen ahead of time
milk (we used skim, about 3/4 cup)
2 Tablespoons peanut butter
That’s all…just blend until smooth! We drizzled chocolate syrup over the top, but it didn’t need it at all.
yield: 1 large or 2 small milkshakes
