I’ll admit it. I’m addicted to craft blogs. I don’t really know how it started, but at this point, it doesn’t really matter. Fortunately, I have a stock of craft supplies that has been amassing since I was about 7. Today I actually made something instead of just adding to my “to-eventually-make” list. At a cost of $0 and under 10 minutes, it was a great guilt-free way to satiate the crafting bug.
I got the idea here: http://zakkalife.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-to-make-t-shirt-headband.html
I didn’t have an old tshirt in my old clothes box, since we’ve been saving those for quilts, but I used an old knit shirt that didn’t quite fit right anymore. Instead of cutting the sleeves, I cut loops from the bottom /waist of the shirt. I had to loop them around twice to fit my head, but other than that, I followed the instructions exactly.
